Guide Dogs of the Desert Fundraising Brunch

In June, Homes Run and Beau Monde Villas partnered with Integrated Wealth Management and ITEX to host a fundraising brunch for Guide Dogs of the Desert. The brunch took place after the grand opening of Petco at Smoketree Commons in the gorgeous Russell House overlooking the entire Palm Springs valley. Petco VIPs and Guide Dog donors enjoyed a full bar and breakfast with the dogs while listening to speeches from Executive Director Roccie Hill and special guest actress and animal activist Linda Blair.

Guide Dogs of the Desert (GDD) was founded in 1972 by Lion Bud Maynard. Their mission is to improve the lives of the blind by creating opportunities for life-changing independence, and by conducting community outreach and education programs. Since their inception, they have graduated more than 1,000 student/dog teams. They offer safe mobility, loving companionship and the “miracle of independence” through the use of a guide dog.
