Keith Ference from Capitis Real Estate was recently interviewed by Desert Sun staff writer Debra Gruszecki about the article entitled, “Lawmakers OK housing crisis tax relief bill”

Here’s a bit from the article:

“The bill would provide relief for homeowners who received mortgage modifications, lost their homes to foreclosure or sold their houses for less than they owed on their mortgages. It would prevent the canceled debt from being treated as taxable income.”

Keith noted: “It’s going to let people continue to do short sales and not be found liable for the difference in the short sale price,” said Keith Ference, of Capitis Real Estate in Palm Springs.
